Causes of Headaches?

Chronic headaches can be caused by many different causes, but you can guess the causes of some by pinpointing the pain locations.

1. Deep and persistent pain in the cheekbones, forehead and bridge of the nose:

Sinus headache is a secondary type of headache and is often mistaken for migraine. Sinus headache symptoms often include:

  • Swelling of the face
  • Feeling of pressure in the ear
  • It is accompanied by fire.



The sinuses can sometimes become inflamed due to an allergic reaction or infection, leading to a feeling of pain and tension, eventually causing a headache.

2. Headaches that are severe and occur on one side of the head, typically around the eyes:

  • Nasal congestion
  • Eye watering

It is accompanied by swelling around the eyes.

Cluster headaches can occur for weeks or even months, with brief (lasting 15 minutes to several hours) and frequently recurring headaches (daily or sometimes several times a day).

  • Inability to open the mouth fully and slipped mouth
  • Pain and noise in the jaw joint during eating
  • Head and ear pain
  • Locking or snapping jaw
  • Changes in jaw movements and tenderness in the jaw muscles

In more advanced cases, the occurrence of joint pain even when talking other than eating can be a harbinger of jawbone disorders.

Jaw joint disorders are caused by the joints and muscles connecting the lower and upper jaws not working properly. The most common symptom of jaw joint disorder is pain and crunch in the jaw joint and chewing muscles (K).

Stress can be caused by a variety of factors, including musculoskeletal problems, poor posture, lack of sleep, and eye strain.

It is accompanied by visual disturbances.

Some of the most common migraine triggers are stress, lack of sleep, fatigue, hunger, weather changes, and periods.




The onset of migraine headaches typically occurs in adolescence and most often affects individuals between the ages of 35 and 45 years. Migraine is twice as common in women than men due to hormonal effects. In addition, various types of migraine with genetic causes have been identified.

6. Pain starting from the neck and on top of the head:
